Two establishments in Little India were caught breaking the alcohol licensing regulations on Dec. 22.
The first incident was when police confiscated a can of unopened beer from a man who bought it from a shop along Chander Road.
Investigations revealed that the owner of the outlet was believed to have sold the beer during the hours when the sale of intoxicating liquor is banned.
Secondly, police officers conducted a check at an eatery in Jalan Besar and seized its liquor after finding out that it served alcohol without a valid licence for the sale of liquor.
