Olympic gold medalist Haile Gebrselassie to run in Standard Chartered Marathon this December

Ethiopian road running athlete Haile Gebrselassie will be taking part in the 10km race category of this Decemeber’s Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore. This will be his first race in Southeast Asia. The two-time Olympic gold medalist and four-time World Championship victor will be joined by 13,000 other participants in the 10km dash on Dec. 7. He has once accomplished 10km in a short 26 minutes and 22 seconds.   The 41-year-old long distance runner will also be holding various training clinics during his time in Singapore.
