Southeast Asia’s largest international photo festival is making it’s biennial return to Singapore’s Arts and Heritage district from Oct. 3 to Nov. 30 with more exhibitions, screenings, talks, workshops and programmes than you can shake your lenses at.
Turning four this year, Singapore International Photography Festival has been a much-celebrated fixture in the local arts calendar as a gathering of visual art talents from around the world with the pursuit to advance photography to higher aesthetic levels.
The upcoming iteration boasts submissions from 1,038 photographers and artistes from all around the world through their Open Call Showcase, counting the likes of France’s Bruno Quinquet, Singapore’s Darren Soh, Bangladesh’s Kauser Haider among the compelling roster.
Other than the kaleidoscope of photography exhibitions, patrons are also welcome to attend the multitude of fringe activities that will be ongoing throughout the two months that features talks by Nikon-endorsed photographers, student project showcases, artist presentations, film screenings and many more photography-centric activities.
Singapore International Photography Festival will be taking place across the arts district, in various locales including National Museum of Singapore, The Substation, National Library and more. Tickets to the festival are available online at Eventbrite and the Festival Office at $50. Stay updated on the event on their official website and Facebook page.
