The National Library Board (NLB) officially launched yesterday a new mobile application that allows users to borrow books and audiovisual materials without having to queue at an electronic station or even use an identification card.
With the NLB Mobile app, users need only scan the barcodes found in the items they want to borrow with their phone.
Renewals, viewing book due dates and checking title availability at the different branches islandwide, can also be done on the app, and from anywhere in the world.
NLB Mobile is part of the Board's platform of online services called myLibrary, and was made available on Google Play on Sept. 14, and on iTunes the next day.
To use the app, simply download and sign up for an account on the official website.
