![Police called in during Singapore's iPhone 6 launch]()
As expected, the launch of the latest iPhone models brought the worst out of Singaporeans.
According to various media reports, a few fights broke out in the snaking long queues for the highly-anticipated iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus outside the various stores.
Things got tense as shutters opened up and people started jumping into queues despite the clearly obvious group of people who were already there — some even in place since yesterday afternoon.
Situations at Tampines Mall and 112 Katong got so bad that the police had to be called in to resolve the conflict. In both locations, officers attended the call to keep the peace and prevent further heated arguments.
No further altercations were reported.
