Raffles Education is making a move in the European market by purchasing a hotel in Switzerland for $39.8 million to set up a hospitality management school.
According to Channel NewsAsia, the site located in the Nendaz municipality measures over 12,000 square meters, where the hotel and two other buildings reside. The two buildings contain various educational and recreational facilities such as classrooms, dormitories and basketball courts.
For Raffles Education — one of Asia’s largest private education providers — the purchase will mark their first step into the European market, and will provide them with opportunities to expand and implement other schools and initiatives.
