According to this year’s World University Rankings conducted by Quacquarelli Symonds, local institutions National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) have each advanced two positions above their previous ranks, ranking 22nd and 39th respectively.
Retaining its position as the top university in Asia, NUS has also stated in their press release that the institution has improved significantly in the number of research papers published and citations generated.
NTU on the other hand has significantly improved their scores in reputation among international employers, student faculty ratio and faculty citations, garnering top marks for its internationally diverse faculty and student communities.
Both universities have been considered as one of the top universities in and the world, among other academies such as Oxford, Harvard and Yale. The top rung belongs to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
