SMRT has terminated the contract of a relief driver whose taxi was seen veering in and out of a motorcyclist's lane.
On Sept. 2, a Mr. Alan Kong had posted a video of the incident, shot from the dashboard of a nearby car, on Facebook.
Though the video was only about 30 seconds long, Mr. Kong said the incident lasted a "good five minutes", with the cabbie "trying to make the biker hit him".
He also wrote, "As a ex-biker, I feel that we cannot tolerate this kind of behavior on the road."
The video had more than 2,600 shares on Thursday.
SMRT wrote in a Facebook post that it investigated the case immediately after being notified by netizens, and eventually fired the driver of the Prius taxi. The main renter of the taxi will not be penalised.
