Best of the Ice Bucket Challenge videos out of Singapore so farFirst and foremost, here's a backgrounder on social media's latest thang, the Ice Bucket Challenge.  Originally, it's a money-or-dare game created by a non-profit organisation in America raising awareness about amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Anyone who's nominated for the challenge and accepts it, has to pour a bucket of ice water over themselves or donate to charity.  It's a pretty bizarre concept, if you ask us. Celebs like Ansel Elgort (video's here, girls), Christiano Ronaldo (over here, note those nominations) Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez and Mark Zuckerberg have all basically declared they rather get a freezing shock than donate say, a hundred bucks to charity. At least Bill Gates had a disclaimer, "I'm glad to give to ALS, it's a great cause, but I wanna accept this challenge." And accept he did, with aplomb. Charlie Sheen also accepted the Ice Bucket Challenge, but with a twist. A cocky twist yes, but it'll probably do more for ALS than all the other stuff.  So back to Singapore. Because you gotta get dumped with ice water within 24 hours of your being nominated, quite a few videos have already been uploaded. Most celebs like the Muttons from 987FM and SGAG's Xiaoming have accompanied their video with a link to the National Neuroscience Institute (NNI) of Singapore for more info on ALS, but others, like YouTube channel Ministry of Funny's Haresh and local actress Rebecca Lim have nominated and donated to other causes like the Society for the Physically Disabled and the Singapore Cancer Society. Nice going, folks. And here are our favourites:  The super drama one — "If this hits my head, I'm gonna die.""OMG, we gonna die!": Interested to see what these nominations lead to: She went back to her alma mater to get this one done:   Also, our Facebook embeds are wonky on the new site, but you gotta watch the videos by George Young and Rebecca Lim, who have the best reactions to ice.
