No huge fire in Singapore yesterday despite intense orange glow across the skyPhotos of an intense orange glow spread across the sky in the eastern and north-eastern parts of Singapore were uploaded to social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter yesterday evening, by residents curious about the location of the 'huge fire'. Turns out there is no fire, according to a statement provided to The Straits Times. A Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) spokesperson it had received four calls reporting sightings of a fire from 9pm to 10pm, but fire engines dispatched to four locations — Marine Crescent, Sentul Crescent, Yishun Avenue 9 and Yishun Ave 11 — found no sign of fire.  Now I can see a fire at East of Singapore for 1 hr. Do you know What happened ? pic.twitter.com/TLCe99MGCB — 장근석의 동안누나 ♥ (@SoonieCri) August 13, 2014 Large fire in NE Singapore or an incinerator in overdrive in Malaysia? #Singapore #fire #singaporefire pic.twitter.com/beN1Quj2zK — James Hodson (@hodson_james) August 13, 2014 Omg lol unknown glow across singapore... firemen found no fire...
