Photos of an intense orange glow spread across the sky in the eastern and north-eastern parts of Singapore were uploaded to social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter yesterday evening, by residents curious about the location of the 'huge fire'.
Turns out there is no fire, according to a statement provided to The Straits Times.
A Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) spokesperson it had received four calls reporting sightings of a fire from 9pm to 10pm, but fire engines dispatched to four locations — Marine Crescent, Sentul Crescent, Yishun Avenue 9 and Yishun Ave 11 — found no sign of fire.
