Singapore is Asia's new playground for the super rich.
If you live in Singapore, it's a refrain that you've probably heard over and over to the point of irritation, and a fact that you are acutely aware of with the skyrocketing cost of living.
As a metropolitan area, Singapore holds the third most ultra-high-net-worth individuals (a wealth management industry term meaning those that have over US$30 million assets) in the world at 3,154. Only London and Tokyo have more.
Coconuts TV wanted to see the Lion City's wealth on full display, so we went to the Singapore Yacht Show for a look around.
Candy-colored Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and BMWs streamed in carrying the city's deep-pocketed to the show, whilst models strutted along the dock in stark white dresses and masquerade masks.
And dozens of extravagant yachts dotted One 15 Marina, as those in the boating industry hustled for a piece of the Singapore wealth pie.
We climbed aboard some of the show's most lavish and beautiful superyachts to see what these boats really had to offer.
