A video of a man being confronted by officers of the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) at Bukit Batok West Avenue 2 has gone viral.
The video features the suspect's car sandwiched between a few others, and you can see plainclothes officers climbing over the cars to reach the suspect.
Many have speculated that the clicking sounds in the later part of the video are of shots fired, while others suggest it might even be the set-up of a film production.
According to Channel NewsAsia, the incident happened on Jul. 2 and about 200g of Ice was found in the suspect's car. A follow-up raid on his condominium hideout in the same neighbourhood recovered another 488 Ecstasy tablets, about 160g of Ketamine, 56 Erimin 5 tablets and some Ice. The 26-year-old man has already been charged with drug trafficking.
CNA has also clarified with CNB and the latter claim no gunshots nor blanks were fired during the incident.
