There's nothing worse than Hari Raya goodies you can't put in your mouth...

Kueh inspired Hari Raya money envelopes ...but we'll forgive The Dapper Paper Co. for making these kueh inspired money envelopes because... well, they're adorable.  Founder Izad Razi has been making custom money envelopes for three years now, but this batch is the first he's putting up for sale.  The series, comprising motifs of festive goodies bahulu cake, dates, layer cake, pineapple tarts and love letters, is called "Mintak Ampun, Sedapnya" or "Have mercy, it's delicious!". Each envelope has a tongue-in-cheek description of the kueh on the back."I noticed that most of the money packets selling at Geylang lacked personality and interactive quality with the recipient," Izad explained."I've been guilty of ripping open green packets that don't differ much from each other, except for, of course, their contents. And then there's also the nasty habit of visiting homes not to taste the kueh but to collect money, which leads to the neglect of classic Hari Raya goodies. So Izad took it upon himself to reconcile the two problems... "if you can call them that," he said.  All five food designs are included in one packet, which costs $3. Three packets go for $8. The size of each envelope is 80 x 120mm. Delivery will set you back $0.50-$1, depending on order size. Otherwise, collection is by meet-up at any NEL MRT station.  PM or email thedapperpaper@gmail.com to order, and check their Instagram page for updates.
