New restaurant serving post-workout grub to open in Raffles Place next weekFrom the man behind Muchachos at Keong Saik comes The Daily Cut, a new restaurant in the heart of Raffles Place catered to gym bunnies.  Jonathan Yang told The Business Times (BT) that he's always been frustrated by the lack of protein-heavy and clean, yet tasty meals to tuck in to after his workouts, and that became the inspiration for his new venture. "A lot of the things I do either solve a problem or address my own needs, preferably both," he told BT.  Described as the "answer for people who want to eat healthier but for whom the idea of choking down a salad is repulsive", The Daily Cut is a 24-seater restaurant located at #B1-31 Raffles Place that's also great for takeaways.  Here, customers can personalise their meals by deciding how much protein they want to have and in what form (beef steak, chicken thigh or tofu, salmon, the works). They can then pick some complex carbohydrates like sweet potato or brown rice, and toppings such as sous vide egg, edamame and sultanas, to go with. All meats are lightly grilled or roasted.  This menu released on Jul. 2, will give you a better idea:  The Daily Cut opens Jul. 9 11am-9pm. Check Facebook for updates.
