Japanese lifestyle brand Tokyu Hands will be opening their first store in Singapore this September.
Located on the ground floor of Jurong East mega mall Westgate, the shop will span over 600 square metres, stocking 20,000 products from their original 15,000-strong inventory.
The tentatively named Tokyu Hands Jurong East marks the label's growing expansion overseas, following the opening of the Shanghai outlet in 2012.
While the brand's vibe can sometimes make one compare it to Daiso, which is already popular in Singapore, Tokyu Hands stands out with their extensive offering of hobby materials and do-it-yourself kits, other from homeware.
According to The Straits Times, prices in their store here are expected to start from $1 for stationery such as erasers, while suitcases and fountain pens can go for more than $500.
