Roy Ngerng fired from job at Tan Tock Seng HospitalTan Tock Seng Hospital announced today (June 10) that it's terminated the employment of local blogger and anti-CPF activist Roy Ngerng. According to Channel NewsAsia, the hospital said the former patient coordinator at the Communicable Disease Centre had displayed "conduct incompatible with the values and standards expected of employees", using his time and resources at work to pursue "personal and non-job-related interests". The hospital also expressed its concern over the defamation lawsuit currently surrounding its ex-employee: "While our staff are free to pursue their personal interests outside work, they must conduct themselves properly, honourably and with integrity. In particular, they cannot defame someone else without basis, which essentially means knowingly stating a falsehood to the public." Ngerng, who 'starred' in the recent anti-CPF protest at Hong Lim Park, has acknowledged this recent turn of events on his Facebook page.  He wrote that he'd been expecting this outcome, having been unable to concentrate on his job due to the "stress of the court case". He also voiced his concern over the rumours that the Internal Security Department (ISD) were planning on his arrest.  Read his Facebook post:    (function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_GB/all.js#xfbml=1"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk')); Post by Roy Ngerng Yi Ling.
