![MediaCorp to broadcast World Club 10s Rugby tournament]()
The new National Stadium will host its first ever event in the form of the World Club 10s Rugby tournament from June 21 to 22 and MediaCorp will broadcast all the action “live”.
Channel NewsAsia reports that the matches will be shown on MediaCorp channel okto as well as on its Internet video service, Toggle.
Tens rugby offers the best of the fast-paced sevens game and the gritty, competitive full fifteens. It was first developed by the Cobra Rugby Club of Malaysia and remains a popular variant of the sport in region.
Among the competing teams are the Brumbies from Australia, The Blues from New Zealand, the Cardiff Blues from Wales, Biarritz Olympic of France and the Dragons, an Asia-Pacific representative team.
