The People Action Party's (PAP) youth wing Young PAP released a video on April 23 seemingly encouraging members of the Republic to support the PAP as "the party for all Singaporeans".
Since its release, the video that lasts a little over four minutes has received flak from many members of the online community, typically non supporters of the country's ruling party.
One YouTube user, commenting on the title of the video "Re-igniting the Passion of Servant Leadership", said, "Does that mean the passion has been extinguished? So what has the ruling party been using to service it's people all these while (sic)?"
Others have criticised the obvious use of prompters, as well as as poor video editing, that contribute to the overall 'passion-less' outcome of the video, with one lamenting that the sound made by the crickets was louder than the speech made in the Pasir Ris-Punggol segment.
