Local acoustic rock quartet Imprompt-3 has won the nationwide 'Ride to Fame' competition to open for Taylor Swift's concert in Singapore this June.
A reported 152 videos were submitted to organisers Cornetto and Sony Music, of which five made it to the finals.
Said the band, ""It has been a whirlwind couple of months for Imprompt-3. To play in front of a sold out crowd at the indoor stadium is an entirely new high for us and we will work hard to be the best local opening act there has ever been."
The band is made up of Amos Yang (percussion, vocals), Douglas Wong (guitar, vocals), Jensen Tan (keyboard, violin, vocals) and Mark Ng (guitar, vocals).
Last year's winner, local singer-songwriter and musician Sezairi Sezali, will be mentoring Imprompt-3 in the months leading up to the concert.
