Local journalist and playwright (The Duty, Full Tank!, Radio Silence) uploaded a picture of Singapore's 'national bird' in a public Facebook post two day ago:
(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_GB/all.js#xfbml=1"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));

Though the Crimson Sunbird is the actual national bird of Singapore — it was voted so in a contest held by the Nature Society due to its size and reputation as 'the little red dot'— this actually makes more sense, considering construction work has more or less become a permanent fixture in our cityscape.
Do you agree with him?
