Reticulated python found swimming in public Singapore poolA reticulated python was found lurking in the competition pool at the Toa Payoh Swimming Complex on April 29.  Luckily, the pool was closed, as it usually is for half a day every Tuesday for maintenance work.  The above photo was shared by Channel NewsAsia on their Facebook page, explaining that Sport Singapore has protocols in place for incidents such as this.  The Straits Times reports representatives from the Animal Concerns Research and Education Society (ACRES) removed the snake at about 7:10am so it could be micro-chipped and released back into the wild.  The non-venomous reticulated python is the longest snake in the world and can grow to up to 10 metres.
