Michelle Wee started feeding cats 20 years ago, after she saw one abused. It takes Michelle, a former office administrator now retired, six hours a day in three different shifts to feed 30 cats in three different parts of Redhill.

Michelle might just fit the stereotype of a Singaporean cat feeder: a slightly eccentric, single, middle-aged woman. She beckons her cats in the car park of Delta Sports Complex with a series of shrill miaow calls, and is not shy of approaching passers-by to ask them for money for cat food.

25-year-old Pokémon champion Xavier Chua Cheng Hao pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual penetration of a minor, The Straits Times reports.

The two met in late 2012 at a regional Pokémon trading card competition and kept in touch afterwards on Facebook. The girl was enamoured of him but Chua rejected her (and rightly so) because of their age gap.

The Singapore Democratic Party suffered a devastating blow in the last General Election, despite massive popularity garnered by the return of party chief Dr Chee Soon Juan.

His return to the political arena wasn't just a simple one — the charismatic orator proved to be well-loved among the online masses, and thousands upon thousands attended his rallies to see him speak. Thus it was a great shame to the party when the results arrived — they amassed less than 35% of the votes in every constituency they fought in.

Technologies are constantly changing, and so the country's infocomm and media authorities have to change with it.

The Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) and the Media Development Authority (MDA) will soon merge into one giant faceless entity — the Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA).

The restructuring will take place in April, said Minister for Communications and Information Yaacob Ibrahim, who noted that the convergence of infocomm and media sectors has accelerated in recent years.

"It has brought up considerations to merge the infocomm and media’s development and regulatory functions from time to time," he wrote in a Facebook post. "Thus far, we have managed the coming together of the sectors through closer collaborations between IDA and MDA."

In court however, Channel NewsAsia reports that Choon has a "long history of schizophrenia" and had been warded for nine days at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) to stabilise his condition.
